1800RESPECT is the national counselling service for sexual assault, domestic or family violence. We provide information, referrals and counselling to anyone living in Australia who is experiencing or at risk of experiencing violence and abuse, and the people that support them. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by phone and web chat by calling 1800 737 732. We can also be contacted through the National Relay Service, and the Translating and Interpreting Service.
The Suicide Call Back Service is a 24 hour, nationwide service that provides free telephone, video and online counselling. You can call them anywhere and anytime on 1300 659 467. Their professionally trained counsellors have specialist skills in working with suicide-related issues and they can help you to work through the pain and distress you may be feeling.
Ask Izzy is a website that connects people in need with housing, a meal, money help, family violence support, counselling and much more. It is free and anonymous, with thousands of services listed across Australia. And if you're on the Telstra or Vodafone mobile networks, you can access Ask Izzy on your phone even if you don't have credit or access to wifi.
MensLine Australia is the national telephone and online support, information and referral service for men with family and relationship concerns. The service is available from anywhere in Australia and is staffed by professional counsellors, experienced in men’s issues. MensLine Australia is for all men and all types of relationships.
