1800RESPECT is Australia’s national counselling service for individuals experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, sexual assault, domestic or family violence.

The service provides confidential counselling, information and referrals to people across Australia, as well as to those supporting them. Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via phone and online chat by calling 1800 737 732.

Access is also available through the National Relay Service and the Translating and Interpreting Service to ensure inclusive support for all Australians.

The Suicide Call Back Service is a free, nationwide counselling service providing 24/7 support to anyone in Australia affected by suicide.

Professionally trained counsellors offer confidential telephone and online counselling for individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts, emotional distress, or supporting someone at risk.

Support is available anytime, anywhere in Australia by calling 1300 659 467, with options for phone, video and online counselling.

Ask Izzy is a free and anonymous online service that helps people across Australia find local support, including housing assistance, emergency meals, financial help, family violence services and counselling.

With thousands of support services listed nationwide, Ask Izzy connects individuals experiencing hardship with practical, nearby assistance.

The website can be accessed on mobile devices, and for users on the Telstra or Vodafone networks, access is available even without phone credit or Wi-Fi.

MensLine Australia is a national telephone and online counselling service providing support, information and referrals for men experiencing family and relationship concerns.

Available anywhere in Australia, the service is delivered by professionally trained counsellors with experience supporting men’s mental health and wellbeing.

MensLine Australia supports men across all stages of life and all types of relationships, offering confidential assistance when it’s needed most.

Gambling Help Online is a free and confidential national support service for individuals across Australia affected by gambling.

Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the service provides access to professional counselling and practical support through online chat and digital resources.

Telephone support is also available via the Gambler’s Helpline on 1800 858 858, offering confidential assistance for those seeking help with gambling-related harm.

The National Debt Helpline is a free, independent and confidential service providing financial counselling to people across Australia experiencing debt or financial hardship.

Professional financial counsellors offer practical advice to help individuals understand their options, manage debt, and take steps toward financial stability. The service is not-for-profit and does not charge fees for support.
